• FINAL EXAM, TUE DEC 15, 9:45-noon, in our usual room.

• Our textbook is: Stewart, Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 7th ed. Make sure you get the 7th edition and not the newer 8th edition, especially if you buy the book at the bookstore. If you're trying to save money, the hardcover version is available to rent for under $50. If you're in a hurry, but still trying to save money, the e-version is available for rent for $75. Or to save more money in a hurry: Order the book somewhere with free shipping and use the e-version on a trial basis for a week.

Reading assigned in course:

• Instructor: Tim Hsu.
• Required text: Calculus: Early Transcendentals, James Stewart, 7th edition (not the newest edition). Programmable graphing calculator also required; TI-82/83/85/86 preferred. (TI-89/92 not allowed on exams.)
• Homework: Due every day, except on exam days.
• Quizzes: One each week, except in exam weeks.
• Exams: Three 75-minute in-class exams plus 2 hour, 15 min final exam (Tue Dec 15, 9:45am-noon).
• Grading: Final course grades consist of:
  

  Homework:	10%

  Exams 1:	17%
  Exams 2 & 3:	19% each
  Final:	30%
